Hindus and I have something in common; we both revere the cow. My reverence just manifests in a slightly different way. I eat them. And I am thankful for their presence. I'm not sure what the Hindus find so appealing in the cow and I have to assume that it has nothing to do with its taste. Although, maybe, they, back in the day, used to eat cows, became so enamoured with the flavour that they just couldn't bring themselves to consume them any more. Whatever, I don't know. All I know is, there is one thing that Hindus and I can agree on and that is the cow is a sacred creature.

The Hindus revere the cow because it gives them milk, and from the milk comes; cheese, ghee and yogurt. The cow is a life-giver, it means food. Not the flesh, which can only provide for a short time after death, but alive it conitnues to norish, and therefore is holy.
ReplyDeleteYeah, well, you can still eat them when the dry up. Am I wrong? AM I WRONG!!!
