I had some grapes sitting in my fridge for over a week and when I finally got to them they were fine. I didn't think much of this until a day later; they were sitting, completely enclosed in a plastic bag, for over a week and they didn't spoil?! Maybe I'm just being paranoid but that doesn't seem right. They come all the way from Chile, spend who knows how long on the shelf, then sit for a week+ in my fridge and they are like they just came off the vine. They started going pretty bad once I washed them and left them on the counter though. Within 2 days a lot of them had mold growing on them.

That's why we all need to grow our own produce or buy locally. We need sustainable agriculture!!! My question is, why can't we get decent apples in this province? we live right next door to the best environment for growing the damn fruit and yet in the store all I see are these huge mutant apples pumped full of steroids and have no flavour! I'll be making a special trip as soon as the season starts!
